hey guys, i know a lot of people have shared the suicide prevention lifeline number which is really great, but i wanted to remind everyone of this website that does the same, except it’s online. i’m sure there are people who might be more comfortable asking for help this way.
Its hard to express loss from an organization’s perspective.
It is doubtful that Robin Williams knew what ANIMAINE was, for example. He was certainly never a guest of ours or anything like that.
He was an anime fan though. Did you know that? Not just anime - animation in general. He loved Neon Genesis Evangelion (as you might know from One Hour Photo) and he loved Aladdin - and the role he played in that film is being remembered today across the country and the world.
He was also an amazing man, a brilliant comic, and a good person. He had struggles, and he is not alone. In our community, struggles are too common and too real.
Today, take a moment to watch something that makes you smile. Take a moment to talk to someone who makes you smile. And take a moment to share this all important number: 1-800-273-8255
At that number, there is always someone to talk to. There is a Genie at the other end of the phone no matter who calls.
